1. Who is responsible

The controller for the processing of your personal data on this website is:

blaenk studio GmbH, Scheffelstrasse 18, 8037 Zürich, Switzerland — contact@blaenkstudio.com

If you have questions about data protection or want to exercise your rights, just write to us at this address.

2. Principles

We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, for example when you visit from the EU, we comply with it as well.

We only process the data we need for the respective purpose and only share it with service providers who help us run the website, communicate with you or market our services. We do not sell personal data.

3. Website and hosting

Our website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). When you visit the website, technically necessary data is processed, such as your IP address, browser, operating system, pages visited, and the date and time. We need this data to deliver the website and operate it securely. It is not evaluated on a personal level.

Fonts are served from our own server, not from third parties.

4. Contact form and project requests

When you contact us via the contact form or the product configurator, we process the information you provide — such as your name, email address, message and project details — to answer your request and prepare a quote. Your message is delivered to us by email via the sending service Resend (Resend, Inc., USA).

To protect against spam, we use Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc., USA). It checks technical characteristics of your browser without asking you to solve a puzzle.

5. Newsletter

If you sign up for our newsletter, we store your email address to send it to you. We use Klaviyo (Klaviyo, Inc., 125 Summer St, Suite 600, Boston, MA 02110, USA) to send it. This shows us whether a newsletter was opened and which links were clicked.

You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.

6. Cookie-free analytics

To understand how our website is used, we use Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia) and Vercel Web Analytics. Both work without cookies, do not store IP addresses and only give us aggregated, anonymous statistics.

7. Cookies and consent

On your first visit, our cookie banner asks whether you want to allow marketing cookies. We store your choice in the cookie "blaenk-cookie-consent" for 150 days.

If you click "decline", no marketing services are loaded. If you click "accept", the services in section 8 are activated. You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting the cookies for this website in your browser — the banner will then appear again.

8. Marketing services (with consent only)

Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland, and Google LLC, USA): we measure whether visits from our ads lead to enquiries (conversion tracking) and may show you our ads on other websites (remarketing). Google sets cookies for this. We pass your consent on to Google via Google Consent Mode.

Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., Ireland): we measure the effectiveness of our ads on Instagram and Facebook. The pixel sets cookies and records page views. When you submit the contact form, we also send Meta your email address and name in hashed (pseudonymised) form, along with your IP address and browser details, so Meta can match the enquiry to an ad.

Klaviyo (see section 5): if you arrive on our website via a link in our newsletter, Klaviyo records which pages you visit afterwards. For this, Klaviyo sets the cookie "__kla_id" for up to two years.

9. Transfers abroad

Some of our service providers are based in the USA or process data there. Where a provider is certified under the Swiss-U.S. or EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, an adequate level of data protection applies. Otherwise, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, which are also recognised in Switzerland.

10. Retention

We keep personal data for as long as it is needed for the respective purpose. Enquiries and order data are kept for the duration of the business relationship and beyond where statutory retention obligations require it — in Switzerland, usually ten years for business records.

11. Your rights

You can ask us at any time which data we process about you and have it corrected or deleted. You can object to the processing and request a copy of your data. Just write to contact@blaenkstudio.com.
